Using the app

Together Events runs this app for event organisers. You can read the public programme and event information without an account or giving us your name.

Checking in

Where check-in is available, your name search is matched against the organiser's attendee list in sPHere. Some events also ask for your email address to verify the match. Confirming your arrival records your attendance with the organiser.

If a connection fails, the app can save a pending request on your device to retry. It contains event and registration references, a record version and request time, but no name or email address. Requests that need an email address are not saved for retry. After confirmation, the app remembers the event and check-in time on your device, except in shared-device mode.

If your organiser has sent you a personal invitation link, it may give access to private attendee information. This uses a secure session cookie and does not require a password.

Saved content and reminders

Your device stores display preferences and a copy of public event content for use when a connection fails. Saved content may be out of date while you are offline. You can remove local copies and check-in records by clearing this site's browser data.

Where session reminders are available, they are optional. Enabling them stores your browser's notification subscription with the event so we can send reminders. You can turn them off on the Info page or block notifications in your browser settings.

Analytics and service providers

The public app uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to measure page visits and performance, including visits to public session pages. Private invitation pages and staff previews are excluded from this measurement.

Where configured, Sentry receives error diagnostics to help us fix problems. Hosting providers also process connection information, such as IP addresses and requested pages, for delivery and security.

Venue maps connect your browser to OpenStreetMap, which receives connection information including your IP address. External links open the relevant provider's site and privacy policy.

For questions about your data, how long it is kept, or a request to access, correct or delete it, contact Together Events at hello@togetherevents.uk. We can direct questions about registration and attendance records to your event organiser. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.
